Thyristor power controller for simple heating applications

With the JUMO TYA S201 single-phase thyristor power controller for burst-firing operation and the JUMO TYA S202 three-phase thyristor power controller for burst-firing operation in economy mode, JUMO rounds off its extensive portfolio of high-quality power controllers with two sophisticated entry-level models.

The two thyristor power controllers can be used, for example, in industrial furnace and dryer construction, for continuous flow and air heaters, and in simple heating applications for currents from 20 to 250 A. The devices can be commissioned quickly and easily via the optional PROFINET interface. Tight-to-seal mounting allows for particularly space-saving installation.

Both devices have a so-called "Teach-In". With this self-learning function, the limits are automatically set during partial load break detection. The cyclic adjustment ensures permanent and accurate monitoring, even if the characteristics of the heating element change.

Direct access to all relevant process data provides a quick insight into the machine status and enables predictive maintenance with the help of integrated diagnostic systems.

The configuration of the power controllers can be done directly on the devices via a keypad and a plain text display without additional tools. All configuration parameters can be transferred from the controller to the actuator - a unique feature in this device class.
With the help of a setup program, configuration can also be performed via a USB interface. Setup data can also be transferred directly to the device without a power supply.
