Variety of inductive proximity switches up to +160 °C

With the IGMH series, sensor specialist EGE offers inductive proximity switches that are particularly suitable for use under extreme environmental conditions, e.g. in drying ovens, in the food industry or in heavy industry applications. Suitable for continuous operation, the compact high-temperature sensors are designed for ambient temperatures between -25 °C and +160 °C. Equipped with a robust housing made of stainless steel 1.4571 and PEEK, the sensors are available in different variants depending on requirements: for example, EGE supplies variants with protection class IP68/69K, which are waterproof and easily withstand high-pressure cleaners.
IGMH sensors are also available as boil-proof and steam-resistant versions with silicone cable connection - optionally additionally with FDA certification for use in the food sector - as well as variants for applications in which oily media, such as rolling oil, are used. Depending on the version, the connection is made either via an FEP or silicone cable. The devices offer a nominal operating distance between 2 and 15 mm and are available as M12, M18 and M30 models. Thanks to their integrated electronics, they do not require a downstream evaluation unit. EGE also offers customers the possibility of implementing individual sensor solutions at short notice and without great expense, which can be designed entirely to meet specific requirements.
