WATERFLUX 3070: new features and options for the battery-powered water meter
2016-06-17 07:07:13, KROHNE Messtechnik GmbHThe transmitter housing made of polycarbonate with protection class IP68 is now standard for the compact as well as for the separated version, e.g. for installation in temporarily flooded measuring chambers. The enclosure is equipped with IP68 Plug & Play waterproof connectors to reduce on-site cabling efforts; it also features a small installation footprint and fits inside control cabinets.
For grid-connected sites, the WATERFLUX 3070 is now available with an external FlexPower unit to connect the meter on-site to a 110...230V AC or 10...30V DC voltage source such as the mains, a solar panel or a small wind turbine. The FlexPower module also has an internal battery that serves as a battery buffer in the event of a failure of the external voltage source.
The integrated pressure and temperature sensor is a new option that allows the WATERFLUX to be used for various tasks in drinking water networks: The measured data for flow and pressure are important information for network pressure monitoring, water balance, zoning (district measurements) and leakage detection in drinking water networks when the comparison of pressure and flow values is used as a method.
