Magnetic field sensors are suitable for non-contact speed sensing of objects made of ferromagnetic materials and can be connected to digital speed indicators or frequency-to-analogue converters. They consist of a differential transducer and a post amplifier with an open collector output and, as sensors with a 3-wire connection, they generate a square wave signal at the output.
