ASC expands its accelerometer portfolio with three new current signal sensors
2016-03-18 04:31:59, ASC GmbH Advanced Sensors Calibration (ASC) announces the introduction of three new product groups of current signal accelerometers (4-20 mA) for structural monitoring applications. The new introductions come in a low-noise variant and one with high bandwidth; both series are available in uniaxial, biaxial and triaxial configurations.
With the launch of the current signal accelerometers (4-20 mA), ASC gives users the flexibility to use long cables during vibration measurements, such as where cable lengths exceed several hundred meters. If the user uses accelerometers with voltage signal, he has to calibrate the sensor during installation as well as when changing the cable length, because the voltage output drops over long cables. Current signal sensors not only relieve the user of additional calibration and sensitivity testing during use, but also help to improve EMI immunity. The new product groups include three different types: uniaxial (1711LN, 1721), biaxial (1511LN, 1521) and triaxial (1611LN, 1621) accelerometers. They are suitable for structural monitoring applications on bridges, buildings, wind turbines and other industrial environments.
