Draw-wire sensor MH60 - successful use in harsh environments

Particularly in the application area of mobile hydraulics, high demands are placed on the sensors. Accurate measurement processes in the field of mobile hydraulics are increasingly in demand, as safe positioning of e.g. support leg vehicles is indispensable for the safety of persons and equipment. The MH60 was developed to guarantee a reliable measurement process in exactly such harsh environments. The IP69K protection class allows maximum protection of the electronic components against water and dirt. The sensor can be easily cleaned with a high-pressure jet without causing any damage. To achieve maximum performance, the customer can select the optimal sensor housing type according to environmental conditions. WayCon thus enables a cost-effective, robust and compact solution for a successful deployment at the end customer.

In addition to the output signals commonly used in the industry (0...10 V, 4...20 mA, potentiometer), a low-cost CANopen interface according to CiA 406 is also available. A range of options allows a wide variety of variations: An offline setting of the most important parameters is possible with the help of our squeezer, as well as the programming of the analog measuring range. In addition, a redundant output signal counteracts a complete signal failure. With different rope attachments and rope diameters, the customer is offered the possibility to perfectly adapt the sensor to his application. For the necessary stability, the MH60 can be equipped with an additional base plate.

The development department of WayCon Positionsmesstechnik has succeeded in developing sensors with the MH series, which could qualify for the INDUSTRIEPREIS 2018. An expert jury evaluates the products in 14 individual categories. Our MH series combines the characteristics of robustness, compactness and reliability in a cost-effective sensor, transferring the usual precision to these series as well.

To achieve maximum performance, the customer can select the optimal housing type of the sensor according to the environmental conditions.
