Product Description.
The CAN-PCIe/402 is a PC slot card designed for the PCI Express bus (PCIe) and is equipped with up to four electrically isolated CAN or CAN-FD interfaces according to ISO11898-2. This slot card is ideal for expanding any PC or workstation with PCIe slots, either full- or half-height.

Technical specifications.
The CAN(-FD) interface is driven using the esdACC (esd Advanced CAN Core) developed by esd and certified according to ISO 16845:2004.
The design includes a bus master (first-party DMA) for exchanging CAN data.
The CAN interface can initiate write cycles in CPU-RAM independently of the host system's CPU or DMA controller.
Support for MSI (Message Signaled Interrupts) allows the CAN interface to be used in Hypervisor environments as well.
The module also supports high-resolution 64-bit hardware timestamps for highly accurate reception and transmission of CAN messages.
