Fast data acquisition for fast test processes

There is a wide range of high-quality differential pressure transmitters to choose from. Nevertheless, users have encountered limits here in the past when they needed fast response or rise times below the 50 to 500 ms normally required. As a specialist in electronic pressure measurement technology, BD|SENSORS has taken on this problem and developed a new solution that is virtually predestined for fast measured value acquisition: Thanks to its optimized electronics, the DPT 100 differential pressure transmitter operates with a rise time of only approx. 10 ms; pressure curves can thus be recorded at a measuring rate of 250 Hz.

Typical applications that rely on fast signal processing are found, for example, in test engineering, mechanical and plant engineering, as well as in environmental technology and power generation. The range extends from monitoring industrial, wet or dust filters to level measurement in pressurized containers in the food and pharmaceutical industries to leakage monitoring in pipes or flow measurement of gases or liquids with differential pressure elements.

The differential pressure transmitter is easy to install or also to retrofit without any problems, since the measuring and connection technology has remained unchanged compared to the devices with flange connection available on the market. Its compact design also facilitates integration into standardized applications. This is a decisive advantage especially in environments with already limited space conditions, e.g. in 19" racks, small control cabinets or enclosures. The plant itself can then also be designed to be more compact.
In addition to the classic version with an analog 4...20 mA signal, the DPT 100 is also available in a digital version with an RS485 interface (Modbus RTU).
