KIMESSA: The leader in stationary gas detection and control systems
2023-06-20 00:06:19, Kimessa AGKIMESSA specializes in stationary gas detection and control systems. all KIMESSA products are developed and manufactured in Switzerland, with ISO 9001:2008 certification, and all products for use in Ex zones are manufactured in accordance with the high quality requirements of Directive 94/9/EC (ATEX). The partner companies provide professional services.
Product introduction
1、CANline - Warning light electronic device
Features
Flashing beacons with different colored spherical covers, e.g. orange for explosive zones, blue for toxic zones.
Housing: Plastic IP65
Product is suitable for indoor and outdoor installation
Any number of CWEDs can be integrated into the CANline network like a sensor, wherever it is located (bus compatible)
Individual outputs (horn, lamp and relay) can be programmed in different modes: automatic k'k or manual - instant reset
delayed automatic reset (1-999 seconds)
On and off delay times are individually programmable (1-999 seconds)
CWED can be assigned to one or more gas sensors with limit values and/or a technical fault.
LED status display for technical faults (red) and bus operation (green)
2. CANline touch screen display
Product Features
The CANline touch screen display is used to graphically display the physical values of the measurement.
The operating status is displayed by means of bars in different colors (green=operating, orange=pre-alarm, red=main alarm, gray=sensor not working, red and "error"=technical fault).
The measured gas concentration is automatically stored and can be recalled by touching the sensor channel.
Automatic storage of the operating status.
Pre-alarms, main alarms and faults
The unit can be mounted on the control cabinet door or directly in the wall housing, the connection is done via bus wiring
Automatic display setting after import of the CANline control center program
Labeling of sensors via touch input
Application scenarios
KIMESSA products are widely used in underground parking lots, laboratories, heating, refrigeration systems, refineries, hazardous materials storage, refrigerators, sewage treatment plants, swimming pools, hospitals, pharmaceutical industry, drinking water, animal husbandry, wine cellars, automotive industry, storage tanks, beverages, steel industry, food industry, textile industry, plant construction, power plants, welding, nitrogen tanks, beer equipment, etc.
Refrigeration applications
For cold rooms/refrigeration systems, modern society deals with toxic and flammable gases and vapors on a daily basis. Today, natural gas is an economical, technical and comfortable medium, but if left unchecked, it can suddenly become very dangerous.
Refrigerator/Refrigerant Monitoring
Typical gases produced are: HFCs, HCFCs, NH3, CO2 and C3H8.
In the field of refrigerant monitoring, the use of gas warning systems is becoming more and more important due to changes in refrigerants. kimessa offers solutions for monitoring multiple sample gases that can occur in cold rooms: such as NH3 and CO2, for the safety of humans and the environment.
As refrigerants change, so do the dangers posed by them, particularly dangerous are flammable gases that can produce explosive gases or air mixtures. But "naturally" produced gases, such as odorless and toxic CO, also pose a great danger.
KIMESSA's alarm technology offers solutions such as BUS bus combination messages with built-in display, installed in front of or inside the cold room, with simultaneous visual and audible alarms (CWED Type 68). The BUS wiring of measurement points and messages is particularly cost-saving. Of course, each of these can be used as analog, BUS bus or Ex flammable and explosive bomb measurement points.
The touch display can be installed at the entrance of the cold room for visualization and quick control of the gas monitoring data. Of course, all measurement data and events are recorded and can therefore be tracked and analyzed at any time.
With the plug-and-play web server CWS 101 "Easylog", the gas concentration can be displayed in real time in the computer network and an e-mail can be sent to the responsible person in case of events such as alarms or malfunctions.
Digital Modbus RTU interface
For refrigerant monitoring, KIMESSA cooperates with several well-known suppliers of control systems for refrigeration equipment. Through a digital Modbus RTU interface, all KIMESSA gas monitoring centers are compatible with these refrigeration equipment controllers. The advantage of this is that the gas alarm system can transmit the information directly to the refrigeration plant control system, so that no separate alarm chain is required.
For the field of refrigerant monitoring, KIMESSA can offer its customers not only a wide range of gas sensors with different measuring principles, but also central units and alarm components. Customers can choose between stand-alone gas detectors with built-in sensors and six different measurement channel variants (1-128). In addition, KIMESSA can offer its customers refrigerant monitoring exclusively with BUS bus technology. This is very cost effective considering the increasingly long cable distances. kimessa offers its customers complete solutions, i.e. also including alarm devices / messages. kimessa products are simply integrated into the bus at the measuring point and can therefore be used very flexibly and without a large number of cables, also bringing a very large number of programming options for BUS bus technology.
