SGX-4 and EC4
2015-07-27 07:05:53, Angst+Pfister Sensors and Power AG With a 20 mm diameter and cell arrays with three or four electrodes and a reference electrode for faster sensor response time at higher gas concentrations, SGX Sensortech's Series 4 meets industry standards.
SGX Series 4 products cover the major toxic industrial gases such as carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen monoxide/dioxide. Chlorine and chlorine oxide are also detected. The product range also includes sensors for other gases such as hydrogen, ethylene oxide and phosphane, as well as a new dual sensor with 4 electrodes for carbon monoxide/hydrogen sulfide, which has very low cross-sensitivity for other gases. In addition, the Series 4 also includes oxygen sensors with a very long service life of up to four years.
Electrochemical sensors for toxic gases and oxygen are increasingly used as important products in monitoring and reducing industrial gas emissions and ensuring safety in plants where toxic gases are used. Due to their size and weight, the Series 4 sensors are very well suited for portable analyzers.
The standard measuring ranges for the Series 4 of SGX are aligned with the MAK value for the respective gas. This value indicates the concentration to which a worker can be exposed daily during the entire working life without adverse health effects occurring. In addition, limit values for short-term heavy loads and absolute limit values that should not be exceeded at any time are also taken into account. The EC4 sensors for carbon monoxide have two ranges: 0 to 500 ppm and 0 to 2000 ppm. The EC sensors for phosphane also have two ranges (0 to 20 ppm and 0 to 1000 ppm), and the same is true for the highly toxic gas chlorine dioxide (0 to1 ppm and 0 to 50 ppm).
