With the ABZ sensor, RHEINTACHO goes one step further: The detection of direction of rotation and position is additionally included.

An NTC temperature element with the following characteristics is used for temperature detection: ± 1.5 °C over full operating range, NTC 4.7 kOhm, ±1 % @ R25; B25/85 value: 3830 K.

Depending on the application/customer, the detection can of course also be realized with other components.

Depending on the application, the evaluation of the temperature signal must be adapted to the changed installation situation. In hydraulic applications, the homogenizing effect of the hydraulic fluid supports. When used in electric motors, the use of a temperature signal in the speed sensor requires significantly more adaptation, since the installation position has significantly different environmental conditions than the usual installation position of the temperature sensors.

However, there remains the undeniable advantage of querying several parameters simultaneously with one installation process. The cost benefits are complex and are not only limited to the installation costs, but also to the fact that there is no need to install additional sensor access points.
